N2O
Sedative, dissociative, amnesic effects and mild analgesic effects.
Onset and offset of effects are 4 to 5 minutes.
Affects the cerebral cortex, not the brainstem, so no CVS or RS depression.
Patients maintain their cough and gag reflexes.

SE Include - Vomiting, dizziness and oversedation.
Contraindicated in patients with pneumothorax, bowel obstruction, intracranial injury, pregnancy and otitis media.
