Organophosphate Poisoning
lipid-soluble insecticides, can get in through, skin, GI or Inhalation.

irreversibly inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase,  acetylcholine accumulates.

CNS Effects - dizziness, headache, ataxia, convulsions, and coma
Nicotinic signs - sweating, muscle twitching, tremors, weakness, and paralysis.
Muscarinic signs-  SLUDGE
                            (salivation, lacrimation, urination, defecation, GI cramping, emesis).
Also -  miosis, bradycardia, bronchorrhea, wheezing,  pulmonary edema.

Investigation - plasma or red blood cell cholinesterase activity

Rx - decontamination, atropine and pralidoxime.
